I lost the usb cable for connecting to the pc.

Question:
If I just buy any micro usb cable from my local tech store would it fit in the n900 charge slot?

Please reply I really need one today.

Thanks in advance.

Well you just need a MicroUSB plug at one end and a normal USB in the other end, and since the MicroUSB is almost standard it should not be hard to find one

I don't know, but to avoid any problem I think it would be better to buy a Nokia branded USB cable. The model no. for N900 cable is "CA-101"

i have a lot of them laying around, no-name, SE & Nokia + samsung chargers (Micro-USB) and they all work, even the crappy ones, only ones that don't work are the REALLY crappy ones from DX, they have so thin wire that they struggle to transfer 500mA in only 30CM

I just got a new one off ebay for a little over $3 and it works fine. It needs to be a micro usb-b to fit the N900.

Also just to note, you can get micro usb charge cables and micro usb data cables.

You want the data one as that can charge as well as transfer data.
