Weird dependency issue?

$ apt-get update
$ apt-get upgrade

... hildon-initscripts held back

$ apt-get dist-upgrade
...
The following packages will be REMOVED:
mp-fremantle-002-pr
The following NEW packages will be installed:
grep-gnu
The following packages will be upgraded:
hildon-initscripts

My gut tells me that removing mp-fremantle-002-pr is a bad idea...

Yes it is, if you want to get noticed of future updates. :-)

Ain't I a smart boy. But what about hildon-initscripts? Why is there an upgrade in the repo that conflicts with mp-fremantle-002-pr?

I simply would not use dist-upgrade on an N900.

I have the same problem with hildon-initscripts and mp-fremantle-generic-pr.
I'm using pr 1.3

Is it possible to solve this conflict?
