30 Years ago the phone of the future might have looked no different.
First try, then buy!
These controls seem way overdone and I bet that you need a nuclear reactor to power it control emgines. The pad mechanics might even break down soon leaving you with basic voice and touch screen control

I don't think that that looks very good... it is quite ugly if you ask me. UI seems slow and all those twirling and moving parts would make it impossible to hold in your hand, let alone operate single-handed. And talk about having a learning curve!

Cool things in that but I hope it won't become a reality.

I can't cite any proof, but... yeah, I'm pretty certain it isn't real. The first bit looked okay, but if you look at how the guy is holding and rotating the phone, it looks a bit off - like he's manipulating a CG marker of some sort.
Neat concept, but agreed that it would likely be impractical from a usability standpoint even if it could be manufactured at anything approaching a sane cost.

You may want to try Nokia 888 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G32JmZkRddc
or Nokia Morph http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX-gTobCJHs
