wow. long title.

I have searched for a while both on the forums and on google. so I'm going to apologize if the answer is right in front of me.

I get 'incompatible application package' when I try to install the fmms sharing plugin. happened after I installed PR 1.2 .

am I missing a repo or something? I added maemo-extras . that's what the web said to use for the repo.

I feel like such a n00b! any help is appreciated.

You can install fMMS right here (with sharing plugin) http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/fmms/

i have the opposite 'problem'... i discovered the sharing plugin (which i did install when it first appeared as a separate package) recently in my 'installed applications' and could not uninstall it... it said it is being used by fmms. probably the same reason, right?

This is mildly off topic but it's related to the "incompatible application package" error.

If you get that error when attempting to install a deb file built using Qt Creator (Maemo project) on Nokia Qt SDK it can be because the debian control file has "Section: unknown" instead of something like "Section: user/development" or "Section: user/office" etc.
