How much cpu usage does hildon-status-menu take? I have 3g/2g applet, profiles xtender, advance clock and ccsu.

My cpu usage of hildon-staus-menu is around 1.5 to 2% all the time.

I overlock from 250 to 805.. does this sound normal??

I am trying to save battery, have gone through wiki and done swappolube, undervolting etc.

was just trying to see how much cpu each proc takes and see if i can reduce it.

Is this with your screen on? Status Menu IS going to be executing a lot of python if you have Advanced Clock Plugin (and the profiles thing you mentioned is Python too, I believe). Mine goes between 0.0% and 6.something%; this is going by "top"'s output, with my own rather complex clock style for advanced clock plugin and a few other things running. If you have CPUMEM/Load/WiFi applets, or things like Desktop Display applet, tha's a couple more cpu cycles right there. The difference, though, is that most of these are supposed to stop executing when the status area/menu is invisible or not being updated, so you can only really appraise CPU usage properly for status menu with screen off, using SSH to run top or whatever.
