att, the http proxy I specified in advanced setting of connection manager didnt work for tear, and I have tried ~/.tear, there were no configure file there too...

pls help... thank u...

?maybe setting the HTTP_PROXY environment variable?

It's supposed to be http_proxy, not HTTP_PROXY, and in any case IIRC the network config management proxy setting will set http_proxy for you.

I have tried the network config manager,it doesnt work...

Dunno, never had a proxy in mind. If WebKit doesn't detect one out of the box, then I'll check on that later on.

Would be nice to use tear with a proxy Server and authentification. I want to use my n810 at work, but cant if this is not implemented.
