Hey All,

Just curious if anyone has heard about the Nokia with the Z600 atom processor with meego in it that will be released in 2010

but, i doubt, that it will be anything like n900....

Don't believe everything you read on techblogs. Usually they don't have any more real information than the rest of us and way too often they misunderstand stuff or jump to awfully far fetched conclusions.

I think there's about a 0% chance that Nokia will bring out an Intel Atom based MeeGo smartphone this year. MeeGo device, yes, but it'll be OMAP3.

It's said that it will be an Intel smartphone, so it's very possible this is real. Intel is clearly pushing Atom processors for obvious reasons and Nokia will stick to ARM since that is what they are used to etfc..

There are rumors that Apple wants to buy ARM, which would make for strange bedfellows if other companies kept using it.

I think its wise for Nokia to at least consider other processors.

when it comes to performance / watt arm is still a long way ahead of intel - even the low power atom.

I don't think an intel x86 phone is a viable alternative for now...
