its a conference for grey-haired unix geeks!
and the subjects are really esoteric (python byte code optimisation?)
most of the talks centre on LaTeX with the rest being on python.
*sigh*, buggering off for lunch and coming back for one more talk (just to be in the warm, ya know) and then getting my train home

you didn't miss much, the least boring talk there was on "rooting android phones" so you can do with them what you could do with an N900 out of the box.
out of the 4 rooms available one was wholly devoted to python talks and one was devoted to LaTeX talks.
there were 50 people in the auditorium when they asked who was doing talks.
I won't go next year.
