I guess that the next question would be "did you ever get the GPS to fix?"


Anyway, this was discussed here:

You can also connect the N810 and laptop by some IP network (USB, wifi, BT PAN) and let the program on the laptop connect to GPSD on the N810 over TCP/IP.
