Going read-only is actually a protection method... Linux usually remounts a file system read-only if an error is detected to prevent further damage.

Have any of you two been overclocking your phones? Filesystem curruption could be a symptom that you've clocked it a little too far. OTOH it might be a good old fashioned bug too.

Nope mine was caused by the Easy Debian extraction process hanging.

No overclocking here. Aware of and been following the posts but the jury's out at present As for the cause on mine, not a clue other than my guess in the above post.
