Has anyone else tried qtmapper? I installed it and liked it for the most part, but how do i get it to set a home location for when i open it up?...or just remember where it was, like maemo mapper. I do love having the text direstions at the bottom of the screen, but the box needs to be more opaque.

No answers to contribute, but I just discovered qtmapper, too
AWESOME piece of software. I love how it is more decisively tied to OpenStreetMap. I didn't get an opportunity to really play with routing, but it looks like that works reasonably well.

I had to remove it, though, because the dependencies took up way too much space for me. Now I want to see a Qt Maemo just so this app fits snugly.

how come it took forever to get a fix? I had 12 satelites and could not get a fix until I got to my destination (or perhaps somewhere along the way). I sat in my driveway for 5 min. Drove a mile, put gas in the car and still no fix. Get to work. Fix.
