My PC no longer recognizes my N810 plugged into USB. The PC detects the USB event, but registers the N810 as an "unknown" device. Tried -

- Restoring N810 from old backups
- Removing N810 battery & rebooting PC
- Different USB ports on the PC
- Connecting USB to a PC that had never been connected before
- Using "Nokia software updater" the N810 shows USB icon (started holding down the swap key) but Nokia software updater doesnt see the N810
- Uninstalling & reinstalling "Nokia software updater"

Nothing works. I think the N810 USB handshake code may be corrupt but the only way to reflash is with USB! Any suggestions? Is it possible to pull the external memory card, put the firmware on it, and to reflash from external memory card?
