OK, so OS2008 can access public network shares natively. But then how do I use that from the command line? Like if I want to rsync some files back and forth, how can I do that?

My friend and I looked for this yesterday. We couldn't come up with anything.
We tried to mount the share point, but it just said mounting failed. My friend also edited the /etc/fstab, but didn't get it to work.

Those instructions start off by saying it's so hard to even do the first step that he can't even offer advice. Is there a way to do it that doesn't require a degree in rocket science?

one can always use the xarchiver for the extraction.
Or get directly the files from here.. (i.e. next post in the thread Qwerty has posted earlier)
