I occasionally get this when I try to use the default browser on the n800. The "Updating" message appears in the top right corner and the browser remains unusable.
Usually my "remedy" is to just use the tear browser. However some sites just work better in the default browser and, unlike tear, the default browser allows you to save a copy of the webpage.

So rather than just waiting for the problem to disappear (as it seems to do) how does one fix the issue?
