Nokia is also getting paid for Nokia Messaging, atleast in .fi, if I understood it correctly, you can buy a Nokia Messaging license from one of the operators here, and use it to enable Nokia Messaging on any phone supporting Nokia messaging on any operator (limited to .fi?).
Some phones appear to come with a nokia messaging license built in, though.
