Sorta sad that after my N810, I ventured into the OQO 02 and whatnot to satisfy my want for a device with a "decent" keyboard and a form factor that I had grown accustomed to.
In 2018, a lot of broken promises later; I'm nowhere closer to anything that's not old as Hell or outdated or with an even smaller community than this one to support any fan based questions and/or continued development.
Perhaps it is truly the end of an era. Folks are no longer adventurous. And the old stuff just isn't where I want it to be. Worse, battery technology is woefully behind and nowhere near where I'd feel comfortable in trusting an older machine like the Vaio series now - parts have gotten more expensive and rare too.
These new devices really aren't my cup of tea. Worse, they're really pretty downright shitty in fit and finish or I have to lay my trust in a company that I've never heard of before.
Naw. Not for me.
