I had a cheap one (around $4 bucks) and it snapped where the box meets the cable. Though i think it was mainly my fault since i put behind a wheeled bed, wich i hardly ever remember to set the brakes after i move it. It worked quite nicely for the price, and i don't think i'd be paying the extra for an original one.
