Mind you they got the low layer right; they have upstreamable kernel and drivers. I only wish they'd taken Nemo as the middleware layer
I was thinking along the same lines. It is likely a case of experience/familiarity and inertia. Anyways, I paid for it Oct 2017. Let's see what shows up at my door step!
