I think that you guys are overlooking the fact that to have those manufactured, it potentially costs more money to maintain inventory and "guess" which ones will sell as opposed to just updating the screen to display a different keyboard.
Sure, most of you want a hardware keyboard. Yet, one one arrives, it's trashed by one group or another if it doesn't fit into their concept of ideal.
Again, another reason to draw it to the screen. Most of you will not be happy with any keyboard no matter how standard the keys may/may not be or how well they attempt to satisfy their potential users.
