Just wanting to know if Jolla with sailfish OS is a suitable replacement for the Nokia n900.
Will it have all the functions that the n900 had
And will Sailfish be as accessible as maemo is.
Collected from Jolla's website and the Sailfish mailing list:

[x] developer mode
[x] root access (no Aegis-like annoyance)
[x] proper (!) multitasking
[x] GNU/Linux
[x] Qt
[x] SD expansion slot
[x] 8 MP camera

And better than the N900:

[x] the base OS (Nemo) is open for anyone to contribute
[x] Qt5 and Wayland
[x] I2C expansion port for hardware hackers and 3rd party manufacturers
[x] multitouch screen
[x] LTE
[x] bigger screen
[x] runs Android apps, if you really cannot live without a certain app

Alas OTOH,

[x] no builtin hardware keyboard (I don't miss it)
[x] no X11 and no GTK (I don't miss those either)

A hardware keyboard is currently being built by people in this forum already.
