Before stating such thing, make sure your gps chip is reset completely: power down, battery out for 30s (not even sure this is enough). Or wait at least 12/24 hours or even better move a looong distance with disabled gps. And only then check again.

iirc also resetting this gconftool settings help:

/system/nokia/location/lastknown:
longitude = 0.0
latitude = 0.0
