Why not use TVeristy? It should be able to work with the N800 even on the net. I use it for streaming internally at home through the web interface using the browser. You need to configure your router with port forwarding and stuff... And ofcourse a pretty good upload bitrate is required. For the browser to launch e.g Mplayer, try search "Mplayer opera.ini" or similar.
