EDIT: first the disclaimer - this is basically guesswork, anything can be wrong, incomplete or can very well change in future. This information should not be taken as any indication of what the final product will contain (thanks GA).

I guess stretching the old thread is not good idea so lets have a new one.

Please share below your fremantle kernel findings about RX-51 a.k.a. upcoming tablet (likely) or nokia developer board (unlikely). Good starting point for your eyes is kernel-2.6.27/debian/changelog and arch/arm/mach-omap2/board-rx51* files

So far I see this

- two MMC interfaces, "internal" (most probably builtin eMMC storage) and "external" using OMAP HSMMC interface (HS=high speed=48MHz modes). I hoped for three (eMMC + 2 slots) as omap3 could do it (?) but there appear to be only two.

- 800x480 frame buffer, same lcd_mipid panel driver (called "internal" in the config)

- two cameras (front + back?) one called Stingray, second Acme Lite, Acme Lite looks like simple 640x480 (for video chat?), Stingray looks more advanced (parameters like shutter speed, flash, lens focusing etc, 2608 * 1966 memory buffer for capture)

- FM transmitter (SI4713)

- FM receiver + bluetooth 2.0 (bcm2048)

- accelerometer (lis302dl)

- 1Gbit =128MB K4X1G323PC Samsung DDR mobile RAM, EDIT: adding support for bigger chip is perhaps trivial and 256MB chips are becoming cheap and widely available now (hello beagleboard rev C, hello pandora) so it is quite likely final product will have it. After all the additional hardware (DSP, 3D chip, cameras) eats some RAM too so 128MB may be really tight on OMAP3. EDIT2: Also according to OMAP 34xx technical reference manual memory configurations with two DDR memory chips are possible so there may be two such separate 128MB chips on the board or maybe even one in the POP package together with NAND and one additional Samsung one on the board giving us 256MB or more

- B/G WLAN (wl1251)

- smc91x ethernet (??? maybe this is development board after all?)

- keyboard similar to N810 one + 5 buttons (mapped to F6-F10) + camera buttons (shutter, focus)

-some sort of cellular radio driven by phonet software stack (the one Nokia released with fanfare some time ago?)

Looks pretty cool so far :-) Anything else?

EDIT: small update based on fremantle alpha2 kernel, full source diff between alpha1 and 2 is here http://fanoush.wz.cz/maemo/kernel-2....090202r03.diff

- TV-out supported via Nokia AV accessory
- ECI headset (whatever it is) support added to AV jack
- kernel now has cpu frequency scaling enabled operating speeds are:
CPU 125,250,500,550,600 MHz
DSP 90,180,360,400,430 MHz
- ambient light sensor driver enabled (like N810 has)
- internal slot is indeed eMMC
