I must add that one of the things that triggered the transition in my case was the purchase of a Xiaomi Mi Air 13", only available in Qwerty. Warranty could be an issue, but quickly forgotten when the laptop is twice cheaper thsn anything similar. The benefitsjbenefits ust outweighed the costs.

Eventually, once I got used to US-International and how to make accented characters, changing all my other keyboards for ANSI Qwerty was easy, even though some of them were expensive keyboards. I could sell them and finding ANSI versions was not an issue since they are the most common.

I know that numerous people in France did that trandition too, although mainly in the geek-mech-keyboard community.

Apart from that, did I say that I cannot wait anymore for the friggin' Pro1?
