Those tablets seem to not have been produced yet, except a 1k wave.

HW is old, probably not anymore available at all.
New HW designing / testing would need manpower / money.
HW support/warranty would be expensive.
And and and ...

But all is just foggy, so let's wait for official statement. Maybe tomorrow.
I guess it can be manufactured, but they need to reorder components, reserve manufacturing slots etc. so we would be having additional delay, something like 3 months. Of course it would cost to restart manufacturing and it would be hard to sell as it's aging. If they are going to get away from being device manufacturing altogether, it wouldn't be reasonable business wise to continue manufacturing. So, it boils down to questions:

- which option majority of people prefer, refund or having tablets almost two years late from original delivery date
- if they cancel and refund, what kind of backlash it creates
- because they are short on resources still, would that backslash do bigger harm than putting those resources into restarting of production

Personally I'm not sure which option I prefer. I like the tablet and kind of have a need for such thing, but on the other hand my phone is two years old and I'm not sure how long it will last. So...
