Apple does not manufacture their devices but they design them from the ground up; they have own SOC and real HW design, not just looks-like-design.
They do not own the factories but they create and own their IP.

Nokia on the other hand, at least with N1 just slapped a launcher on top of a generic OEM Android slab, how original...
