or else how to extract files/Nemo OS image to Alt_OS. Trying to unpack in Ubuntu gives message: no permisssion/you are not the owner of Alt_OS
The --numeric-owner option just tells tar to create files with original permissions.
As for not being able to access ALT_OS, are you sure you got it mounted correctly?
