Well, the issue of Python bindings for Qt5 might be close to a solution, thanks to THPs work on alternative bindings called PyOtherSide, see his recent blog post about this & source code (not yet updated to reflect the blogpost). Also THP recently started working in Jolla, which might influence things in the right direction in regards to Python. Still some semi-official clarification from Jolla about Python (& Python version - 2 or 3 ?) would be nice.
