thanks, that did the trick.

mine is 21.5M

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 21.5M Apr 14 00:56 /var/log/wtmp

btw, I am using the extrootfs script, so 21M wasn't too bad considering I have 680 free. But still, hopefully things will be a little more stable.
