This may be the crux of your issue. Have you phisically disconnected the USB micro cable from the Nokia? The cards are not available to the Nokia while it's in 'peripheral' mode.

Assuming you have, then 'something' is making it think you haven't. I don't think there is a physical switch that detects the micro USB connection, so there may be a short in the USB connector causing some 'pesence'.

Obviously no one is going to recomend hot disconnects on the chance that you are writing to the device at that moment. Possibly without your knowlege like windows writing that stupid Thumbs.db file.

I haven't had any issue with waiting before unplugging.
