Thank you, it worked fine and the icon appeared without rebooting, but I still want to run the advanced power package, does anybody know how?

I tried to reinstall it but it still doesn't work after removing package advanced-power package, the icon appeared again! but I still want to be able to know when my battery is going to finish, can...

I tried it and it doesn't work for me, I mean the python command, it gives the following error

No module named advpowcommon.util.execn
