Re: FM Radio Player issue on PR1.3
Well, after waiting two hours (raking leaves... ouch!) I turned off FM Radio, waited 30s, turned it on again, and... silence. Crap. So it doesn't appear to matter if the user has BT on or not (and...

Re: FM Radio Player issue on PR1.3
Hmm, sounds like a different issue than what I'm experiencing. I don't get any error messages, just silence. After waiting 30 minutes, and then 2 hours, still silence. But if I leave it overnight,...

Re: FM Radio Player issue on PR1.3
I'm having the same problem. In addition, the radio signal is interrupted by a quick burst of static every minute or so (I haven't timed it exactly). The output from the media player is not affected,...

There's another option that's like vTuner, called Reciva https://www.reciva.com/stations/location with 63 stations listed under India. And if you want to listen to other countries, there are hundreds...

Re: N900 in Canada (Toronto)
Not sure I can agree with you, Qole. As much as everyone is hurling vitriol at the CRTC at the moment, their decision was the correct one given our current laws. It was Industry Canada who screwed up...

Re: N900 in Canada (Toronto)
Time to wake up this long-dormant thread (hey, it's been over 48 hours).
I was just pointed to a retailer in the Toronto area (Markham) that specializes in the latest tech gadgets, and they have a...

Re: So who will get it first
I'm not certain there's even an official N900 seller in Canada (sorry, Expansys.ca, that's just drop-shipping). I doubt we'll get it first.
Regardless, I vote for Canada (just like R-R). The...

Hi Diavoli, welcome to the community! There's an older thread you might want to check out, http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=31192

Re: N900 shipping delayed
To me, the irony is that Nokia unveiled the N900 back at the end of summer, and it was an amazing device, something I truly couldn't live without.
Then they gave me 2+ months to test my theory....

Re: N900 in Canada (Toronto)
You're right, Qole, EDGE is not an option on those networks. So the only choice for data remains Rogers/Fido.
I still don't understand Bell/Telus' strategy with the AWS spectrum they bought. Are...

Re: N900 in Canada (Toronto)
I'd suggest you wait until just before you come to Canada, and then choose a network. Both Bell and Telus turned on their HSPA networks this past week (Wednesday & Thursday, respectively), so there...

Re: N900 in Canada (Toronto)
Yes, you are correct, EDGE is the best you will find. That said, you should be able to find WiFi in a lot of places, and generally for free. Happy travels!

Re: N900 in Canada (Toronto)
Unless I'm mistaken, Rogers still only uses the 850/1900 bands for their 3G system. Some of their devices do support 2100 (such as the "ZTE MF 668 device" mentioned in JD2010's link), but that's only...

Re: N900 in Canada (Toronto)
Here's a thought; lots of companies bought AWS/1700 spectrum during the big auction, even Rogers, Telus, and Bell. So will they all be launching 1700MHz networks? If not, why did they buy? Could it...
