It maybe true.
Probably EMMA simply install the latest stock firmware to an unlocked Xperia X. The same firmware you should receive via OTA.

Just to go a step forward...
Do you think it will be possible a multirom to get both official Android and official Sailfish on the Xperia X ?

That way I could avoid Android App on Sailfish side...

But starting from unlocked factory image, I didn't use flashtool to install community build; it only required me to install adb and fastboot.
Why should I need flashtool/EMMA for official sailfish?

It's not so clear for me why the community build can be flashed directly after unlocking phone while official build require us to first flash Android using EMMA...

Just started my Xperia X running Sailfish.
The script works fine.
It only required me to enable 32 bit on my 64 bit Debian to use make_ext4fs.
