Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

Oh yes I know these long weekends and sometimes you do not make a step forward. I wish you luck that no patching is needed or more recompiling like maybe libjpeg62 or libqt4.:)

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

But be careful with extras-devel, only install packages which are known to work and which you really need. To make an upgrade on extras-devel could upgrade packages which are broken. When your host...

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

Something about kernel-power headers is wrong. As I recognized that kernel-power v53 is also in extras. But the headers are not. I guess we should fix that. Same is for kernel-power-source v53 is...

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

Best would be to compile with cssu packages and your custmom libc6, do you have the sources of the libc6, from where did you get it? So in principle build=host.

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

Yeah the right question would be which fcam_driver version is installed? :)
[for installing power-kernel v53 extra-testing should be enabled...]

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

Yeah could be, but extra testing and devel is the same version now. The package got promoted 2016-08-18.

And the package was build 2010-11-10 that means compiled against kernel-power-headers...

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

In principle it should be easy. You should have a scratchbox environment with extra-testing repository enabled. Then you need to follow these steps. This package is none maemo-optify and this will...

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v53 in Extras Testing

Never used fcamera, but the fcam-drivers need the kernel headers for compilation, so there is a chance that it will work when the driver is recompiled against the right kernel-headers.

Re: Nwer OpenSSL on Maemo Fremantle

Ok I will look what I can do but probably not this week.
The host is using TLSv1.2 but still provide for example TLSv1.0 so the older cutenews was set fixed to TLSv1.0.

Re: Nwer OpenSSL on Maemo Fremantle

Ok here it is, I found the difference.

I created a "ssl.defs" file in "/etc/osso-af-init/". I will attach the file.
Furthermore I edited af-defines.sh in the same folder.

line 160(were other...

Re: Nwer OpenSSL on Maemo Fremantle

@sicelo

I recompiled cutenews and qmlbrowser with cssu-devel libqt4.
For cutenews I set QSsl::AnyProtocol and for qmlbrowser I set QSsl::SecureProtocols.

Both should now support TLS 1.1 and...

Re: [Announce] GPXSee viewer for gps track files

If you are on cssu stable or testing and would like to use the new libqt4 from cssu-devel you will need another gpxsee from openrepos (https://openrepos.net/content/halftux/gpxsee).

To be able to...

Re: Nwer OpenSSL on Maemo Fremantle

You could try to recompile cutenews with cssu packages. However it could be that cutenews need some patching. Or something with the certificates, or with qt something is not 100% ok.

So when...

Re: N900 can't boot after uninstall 'power-kernel'

The Nolo bootloader seems ok. So what output do you get with this command?

flasher-3.5 -i

It could be a driver problem. The device gets recognized but when switching to flashmode it doesn't get...

Re: all telephony functions ... are disabled due to a communication error - anyone else experiencing this?

Some are not fixable, for example if it is related to the pcb or when the chip is broken inside. If it is only resoldering of the chip I think you could find a company also in India. In principle you...
