Re: Samsung Galaxy Note

I got the Note too.
Will keep N900 anyway because still a great phone expecially for it's linux compatibility.

The Note is good for hardware but software looks to me worst in comparison to N900...

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note

It's tempting me too, I can try to ignore the keyboard is missing but don't know if I can accept Android OS.

I would prefer to pay premium price for it if only they would release a MeeGo version...

Re: Cordia : Maemo5 UI on top MeeGo Core

This will give you the idea of the point we're.

It's acutally possible to hack Dreambook W7 by your own but is highly advisable to wait for a stable bootloader in order to reduce brick risk

Re: Cordia : Maemo5 UI on top MeeGo Core

I asked in the mailing list if I can be the "spokesman" of this project.
I proposed to care about this forum and/or a Twitter channel.

Now I wait for a reply from Smoku because I don't want to...

Re: Cordia : Maemo5 UI on top MeeGo Core

In the mailing list they're asking opinions about Cordia Tab "upgrade".
Looks like we can have 1Gb of RAM instead of 512Mb and
16 or 32Gb of MMC instead of 8Gb. The price would change obviously.

Re: Cordia : Maemo5 UI on top MeeGo Core

I signed on for pre-order because I really want to support this project.

Even if I share expectations for higher performance hardware I would buy it anyway just for it openess. There is no other...

Re: You know what, I wouldn't mind a new model from Nokia running Maemo 5 and CSSU

I just would like a bigger screen, from a minimum of 4.2" to a tab-like 7". The best imho is the Dell Streak if it would be running correctly Maemo or Meego.

Cpu and Ram may also be better but...

Re: NITDroid - What do you use it for?

I don't wanna use it because Android is not as open as Maemo and I don't want to give it a chance to win me.

Re: Need a fast file transfer method except USB

Yes, but that way is too slow imho.
I connect to my homeserver with ssh to transfer files but can't get anything more than 2-3Mb/s which is way slower than USB.

Re: Now that Nokia has ditched MeeGo as a smartphone ecosystem, can we have our NIT's back?

In fact I'm looking for Dell Streak but it runs Android and it's not...
