Question Pokemon GO?

Hey all. Recently got myself a 64GB dual-SIM Xperia X to stick Sailfish on, but until I had the time to migrate properly from my old J1, I thought I'd have a play with the version of Android it came...

Re: Jolla unable to service in-warranty phones?

What really annoys me about it is that I bought my Jolla back in Feburary and discovered pretty much immediately it had a hardware fault - the internal MMC was faulty, so when swapping started...

Question Jolla unable to service in-warranty phones?

Just a random heads up...my Jolla developed a classic "yellow burn" on its screen recently, and when I got around to contacting Jolla for a replacement I got a rather cryptic:

...anyone got...

Re: Jolla hardware internals

I suspect so as well. I'm a bit disappointed in the customer service though - I explicitly asked about that and they just ignored me. I bought a new phone that turned out to be faulty within a...

Re: Jolla hardware internals

My Jolla's on its way back to me after suffering a faulty internal MMC. Any idea what sort of repair they will have done? I've not seen it listed on any of the diagrams which IC is the internal 16GB...

Question Jolla Multiboot/Bootmenu

So...not been active on TMO for a few years, and still using my N900 as my daily phone.

Increasingly I'm finding that I need Android apps for things, be they Google authenticator for access to...

Re: [Announce] fMMS - MMS on the N900

They were both photos taken on the phone itself, so jpegs. The MMSes appear in my sent list fine, but no images are being received for 3 recipients. Could be my MMS provider disliking the filenames,...

Re: [Announce] fMMS - MMS on the N900

I got that impression from the log as well, but the recipient did not receive the image (just the text). I wonder perhaps if my provider doesn't like the non-jpg extension now for some reason and...

Re: [Announce] fMMS - MMS on the N900

Thanks, dude. I've found that sending via the utility works fine, but sending via the service does not. In the log the first is a successful send via the utility, and the second is an unsuccessful...

Re: [Announce] fMMS - MMS on the N900

Where is the best place to post bug reports? Here or the Maemo bug tracker?

Basically, I don't send many MMSes, but the last couple I've sent have consistently refused to attach images. They're in...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

If you say so. All I can say is that VGA is much more prone to interference due to the signal being analogue. Quality drops noticeably over long cables and over connectors, and I've never had any...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

VGA connectors are deprecated, they're going to start disappearing with increasing frequency. HDMI as a more compact DVI is the way to go....being digital, it also suffers less from interference and...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

Having recently purchased a Nintendo 3DS I did a bit of digging when discovering it has an optional cradle charger. It's quite clever (in the simple sense) how they've achieved this, basically two...

Re: Neo900 - finally a successor of N900

Throwing in my tuppence for what it's worth, my N900 gives me the most grief when dealing with modern chargers designed for the resistor-style phones everyone has now. Basically, it just doesn't...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

Alas, for whatever reason, the problem is back - 100% CPU and no ringing. The status menu-volume slider is back to 0, hildon-status-menu is back to 65% CPU, pulseaudio is on 28% CPU, and I'm a sad...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

Hi pali, thanks for these. I tried installing them as I have had no ringtone for quite some time, and it still doesn't work. I've just noticed however that hildon-status-menu is using a lot of CPU...

Yeah... wish I'd known that before I ran it from backupmenu's root console! I've reattached it to a Debian box and we'll see if any of those lovely fmms and eventlogger dbs gets found :(

Nope, updated it and no good. I tried backupmenu's fsck and it said my home had errors though...

...just running it manually and yeah, seems hosed. I guess all the updates of system components to...
