Maps/satnav went crazy
Yesterday I loaded up Map on OS2008 to plot a route. I'm using an N800 with a Nokia LD-3W GPS bluetooth device.
It got a signal from the box, but showed me as being miles from my actual location....

Please let us know how you get on. My N800 is still just about alive, after more than 48 hours, which is better than it normally does. And I too have removed a card from the ext slot and disabled...

Battery life not good -- problem?
On my N770, the battery lasted about a week the way I use it (reading an eBook about one hour a night, screen set low, on standby most of the time).
With my new N800, it's lasting about 24-48...

OK done that, and it's a little faster, but still slow and I can easily type ahead of the cursor. also, it now inserts two returns when I hit the Enter key, and sometimes repeats keys.

Virtual memory -- worth it?
It seems that the browser on OS2008 runs slower if I have virtual memory enabled. Is it really worth enabling? If so, is there an optimum size? I read that smaller sizes are better.
