Re: N800 on sale at Compusa closing stores for cheap

I think that depends on the store. I went to compusa when the news first broke here that they were closing stores. They were offering 10% off at the ones around me. They also only had a few left.

Re: Show off your screenshots

I have to agree, some wasted area, semi transparent would be good, however in the case of canola they're that big for a reason (at least I think so). If you have an n800, push the application button...

Re: Show off your screenshots

whole reason I posted was to show the daleks off, other wise its just the stock theme. I used statusbarclock from the 2007 repository on test.maemo.org. I'm a little disappointed the cpu/mem load app...

Re: N800 - Suffers from the WSOD

No, because pulling both the power, and the battery had no effect on the white screen.

My point in the thread was that it was possible. What was done to cause it, who knows it's a display model,...

if I knew how I would. I think it would be better to say: "An N800 suffering from WSOD."

Re: N800 - Suffers from the WSOD

I know the white screen well, my 770 suffered from it and had to be replaced in July last year. It didn't just hang on boot, and I had a guy there play with the battery. However this is a display...

Re: Canola: how to shuffle?

Have you watched the video manuals yet? There are two of them on the Canola home page. I haven't seen them yet, but it's on my list of things to tray and do before bed tonight.

Re: The Internet Walk (the Internet Tablet Talk Preview)

Why would we give up kde for gnome? The limited benefit wouldn't be worth the pain. (yes I've used both, and I love my KDE thank you).

Re: Localhost browser connections require network?

Cerebus, I noted the same thing last week with Canola and using it's configuration tool (which uses Opera).

I think it's a bug, but I haven't tried it on my old 770 yet (planed for this weekend)....

I know that This thread (http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4148&highlight=N800+WSOD) was already started, by someone asking if it happened. However I thought a new thread...

Re: PC Magazine's Sascha Segan Reviews the n800

I think the arguments are null and void. Syncing is only useful for PDAs and mp3 players, very few companies are giving people both laptops and desktops, so syncing those two really isn't done...

Re: CompUSA Closing 100 Stores

The compusa website has already been updated. When you search for a store, it'll show you which ones are in your area. Out of the 8 in Michigan (physically today), only the one in Lansing shows up.

Re: Is there any way to install Firefox?

should be able to do the same flash that opera can do now. You'd just have to tweak the settings (guessing, but there is no reason it shouldn't work).

Re: I dropped my 770 down two flights of stairs and now I don't have wi-fi reception!

Re: CompUSA Closing 100 Stores

slashdot has an article up on this now, pointing to this page: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2099068,00.asp

saying more than half their stores (126 out of 225 stores).

Re: CompUSA Closing 100 Stores

I don't know all the details because I'm not a math / business major (I prefer dead things, archaeology), but there is a problem with 2 ice cream vendors on a beach.

Whole beach is 1 mile long. 2...
