Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

Actually yes, pulseaudio is also on 25% or so.

edit: removed tracker-indexer reference

Edit2: indeed, I had thumb-testing enabled, I confused it with CSSU-testing. Reinstalling Pulseaudio...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

After adding the skeiron.org repo's, I updated to the latest version of CSSU-Thumb. The update went through, but now hildon-status-manager is on high (50%+) CPU load constantly.

I am sure it is...

Re: Fennec 14.0 and more (updated 2012-08-04)

The CSSU-Thumb2 repo (see http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=84829) contains Fennec 17. That is the fastest version I've tried so far (and I tried a lot of them).
I did switch off Javascript,...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

No, I didn't.... Already before trying Thumb2 my phone would not boot with the stock kernel, so I did not think about trying that.

I did try to upgrade KP to 51r1 with the unstable Thumb2...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

My N900 became unstable after installing CSSU-thumb. Unstable in this case means graphical problems when switching homescreens, applications not always starting, and reboots and crashes when running...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

The support for multiple MCC card partitions & file systems is nice, but it seems to mess up the Tracker, at least for me it kept on indexing 'new' media files.
I have a dedicated Easy Debian...

Re: [Announce] CSSU Testing thread

I have that issue sometimes, and that is when MyDocs is not mounted (i.e. the N900 internal mass memory does not show up in file manager). In my case that happens after I have run Easy Debian without...

Re: CAN WE REMOVE DESKTOP FROM MAEMO [N900]... Simply two views TASKMANAGER & APPS

I would prefer it to be replaced by something like Nicolai's App Search Widget. Similar function, much more convenient. We have a keyboard, so let's use it!

Re: Easy Debian Fremantle Beta Testing

Looks like I have about the same performance as mr_pingu with Chromium, scrolling is sometimes smooth, but often laggy, I certainly do not think it is a full replacement for Opera or MicroB. And I do...

Re: Easy Debian Fremantle Beta Testing

My subscription was still ok.

LibreOffice works fine from your image.
Chromium also works, but it didn't have your customisations, and since these improve usability a lot, I would appreciate...

Re: [HOWTO]Watch 720p videos on n900 [09.12.2011 VIDEOCALL WORKS]

I can confirm that as well. I am almost sure I already had it before I installed KP50. Not sure when it started.

@xes: Yes, or in my case; starting a video from the beginning has more chance of...

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v49 in Extras-Testing

Does anyone beside me have trouble with the cifs functionality that is built into kernel-power?

In theory it is ideal for browsing NAS drives and video streaming via tv-out, but it is very...

Re: Easy Debian Fremantle Beta Testing

For me it doesn't work from Chromium, it consitently gives me the error:

Re: Easy Debian Fremantle Beta Testing

You can start it from the menu, at least it works for me.

Also, if you switch off 'use system border and title bar' (see Estel's mail above), the Maemo menu is no longer in the way. Note that it...

Re: Easy Debian Fremantle Beta Testing

I can confirm the image file works after untar-ing. And it, or at least Libre-Office Calc) is indeed significantly faster, the same test as in post #2560 gave these results:

- swap on sd, ED w....

Re: [HOWTO]Watch 720p videos on n900 [09.12.2011 VIDEOCALL WORKS]

There is a version 1.1.5 with a GUI floating around as well, but I don't think it is in any repository. It works, but the cpu runs at 100% all the time. No DSP accelleration either. Still, worth...

Mscion, while my measurements were accurate, I believe I did not have swap on SD yet. If you do, your ED running from an image on eMMC could well be already faster than what I started with, and...

Re: [HOWTO]Watch 720p videos on n900 [09.12.2011 VIDEOCALL WORKS]

For me that resolution does not work either. But I can't tell for sure if that is a limitation of the TV, it's an old Pal widescreen CRT.

Re: [HOWTO]Watch 720p videos on n900 [09.12.2011 VIDEOCALL WORKS]

I tried 1024*576, that also won't play over tv-out, at least not on my PAL tv. I tried scaling using the tv-out widget, that didn't help.

I also installed the latest .deb files, they work, but I...

Re: [Announce] kernel-power stable v49 in Extras-Devel

I've tested the .debs Freemangordon posted yesterday, and they work without problems. But I must say that the old ones also worked fine for me.

If anything, the video recording looks less smooth,...

Re: camera-ui2 (now a part of CSSU) (updated 09. May)

I am not saying that waiting for a cssu update is a bad idea, but it is not that much work to regain the HD option. This is what I did, and it worked:

as root, cd to the directory where you saved...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] COMPCACHE on kernel-power (now with notifications)
