Re: iSync and Mac support with maemo 5

Hi huima,

If you do not mind, can you go over the process of installing DUN on my Mac. This is what I did.

1. I went to System Preferences.
2. Opened Network, clicked on the + sign
3....

Re: iSync and Mac support with maemo 5

I was just in the flagship store in Helsinki. I asked the same questions about iSync Plugins. I was told that Mac OS X is not a priority for Nokia. When I asked what would be a compelling reason for...

Re: $199 iPhone 2 (3G & GPS and exchange)

I am more concerned about the persistent IP connection to Apple servers. I really do not like Apple being Big Brother or in this case Big Apple.

Re: $199 iPhone 2 (3G & GPS and exchange)

I hear you. I had Elisa as my private service but they simply suck. No other way to say it. I have 24/1 ADSL here in Helsinki and for the most part, I get about 18/880 kbs which is pretty good. With...

Re: $199 iPhone 2 (3G & GPS and exchange)

Ah but if you have some friends there that happen to be in the sales dept. chances are you (or actually me) will get the employee price. Not to mention that Sonera is now our communications supplier....

Re: Brick Iphones

Well Apple will be screwed here in Finland. The operators can not offer a subscription service without offering a 3G phone. Finnish law. So no 3G, no subscriptions, no revenue sharing.

Re: Brick Iphones

Is that the modified Borg mantra?

Apple is about to be "class actioned" to death. I truly hope so and I like their products but this will be a good thing. I read that someone is trying to organize...

Re: It's over

Great points, but not to mention the ability to sync all important data. I still think that if the N800 had a real contact/calendar syncing application, it would have gained better traction. I can...

Re: What will happen if nokia adds mobile and GPS chip to its tablet.

Well as an American living in Europe, I can not completely subscribe to your way of thinking, however if you continue with this line of thought, we will be forced to bring Democracy to your country....

Re: What will happen if nokia adds mobile and GPS chip to its tablet.

You might have a point about the HSDPA. The battery issue is moot. The sales figures for the iPod have shown, people will live with not being able to replace the battery. You are correct that...

Re: What will happen if nokia adds mobile and GPS chip to its tablet.

If these sales figures: http://www.macworld.co.uk/news/index.cfm?newsid=13778&page=1&pagepos=4 are remotely correct, it would appear that Apple has a large European following. The halo effect could...

Re: Article to read, about E90 and Hildon.

I agree with you 10000000000%. I just got my E90 and I love it. All my software works as it did on my N95.

I do wish that Nokia had sent me a personal, hand engraved invitation letting me know...

Hey iball. I tried your method. My N95 will not import the .cer file. Says file type unsupported. Hmmmm..... Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Article to read, about E90 and Hildon.

No matter how it was managed, people were going to complain. This is evident in the article posted. The only thing the article pointed out was the negative, and moaned on and on how users were now...

Re: Article to read, about E90 and Hildon.

@Millhouse,

As I mentioned a few pages back, digital scanner are coming on like gang busters. They provide the "faxing" capability that people still claim to need. At State, you see more DS...

Re: Article to read, about E90 and Hildon.

Excellent post, and right on the mark. With the software already available for the S60 v3, the E90 will simply benefit from software that was tested, and refined well before the E90 hit the shelves.

Re: Article to read, about E90 and Hildon.

Don't these apps already exist? My LonelyCatGames Internet radio will work on my N95 and E90. This app was available long before the E90 was launched. Consumers had access to these applications....

Re: Article to read, about E90 and Hildon.

Great post SD69. What I do not understand by way of complaints is that the E90 simply smokes the older Communicators in shear power and multi-tasking alone. The old guard seems to be complaining...

Sorry, my bad. I could have explained this better initially. Yes, they will gladly migrate it. In the end they want you to come back for that upgrade. :)

Valid points all of them but DIGITAL SCANNERS are now really hitting the enterprise market, well I see quite a few of them. Some offices when ahead and removed the fax machines. This could account...

Re: Article to read, about E90 and Hildon.

It sounds like a system where the bean-counters and marketing guys got together and over ruled the sense makers. Hard cases cost money and would naturally eat into the bottom line profits. The...

Incorrect. Yes some apps are tied to the IMEI. This is a given. However there is not one company that I have come across with the software that I use that has made me purchase another license. They...
