Re: What's best heart monitor to use with eCoach? (TI launchs new one.)

Any additions on compatible devices for the past 2 years since this thread started?
I am also wondering if any sufficiently accurate wrist or/and arm heart monitoring devices are available.
I don't...

Re: Switch to available wifi for regular calls

well, all I'm saying is that it may well be worth the time for developers.
That is what "paid for" applications are for, aren't they?
Could you post links where it was "discussed to death" please?...

Re: Nokia is really beyond any hope.

I wouldn't really make a biggy out of some tune.
Common, there is NO tune that absolutely everyone will like, just as for any music type or song out there.
All you see here in the thread is that...

Re: Switch to available wifi for regular calls

In my opinion, this has got to be possible and it is a matter of proper application/hack setup to "route the n900 device".
If blackberry can do it on t-mobile, n900 should be able to do it too.

Arrow Switch to available wifi for regular calls

Hello everyone,
The theme of this thread/question resembles that of one here:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=31331
But, that thread is more about call forwarding, not direct usage of...

Re: [Announce] Oh My G...PS! - geeps: native front-end for google maps

Ovi maps has that feature. One could pre-load the phone with maps by regions (country, state, all...)

Re: [Announce] Oh My G...PS! - geeps: native front-end for google maps

Very nice work, I am definitely keeping this application even the way it is. On nokia n900 one can potentially use regular browser for google maps (including directions), but I will now switch.

A...

Re: nokia n900 messages transfer to computer

As mentioned already, Nokia PC Suite will do that, but if I am not mistaken, the Nokia Ovi Suite is sort of a replacement for it (I've read aboiut it somewhere). Ovi Suite will allow you to sync your...

Unhappy Re: Bright spot or spots on display / LCD

This seems like the most plausible explanation. Whether the spots show up because of heating or pushing, the close proximity of some parts to the screen from underneath (by unfortunate design) seem...

Re: Skype application

Well, besides having good friends from India, I have no relation to it whatsoever, so I can't imagine how would I end up with Indian firmware version (if that's indeed the case). Phone was purchased...

Re: N900 getting messed up on incoming calls. "Swipe to unlock" not working?

Magnet is on the pouch indeed, but because of the way I put the phone in the pouch, the magnet is on the other side of the phone's sensor, at the center.

Re: N900 getting messed up on incoming calls. "Swipe to unlock" not working?

This must not be "it", for this particular "magic" pouch, the sensor area is definitely covered. Pouch is a leather and it is black, plus some hardening stuff ( I guess some carton) between leather...

Re: N900 getting messed up on incoming calls. "Swipe to unlock" not working?

Update (and this is weird...)

I now experimented with the "proximity sensor" a bit and what I found is that if I cover it with the finger or a piece of paper while there is an incoming call, the...

Re: N900 getting messed up on incoming calls. "Swipe to unlock" not working?

Ok, I think I got you now. I wouldn't know what the "proximity sensor" is because It seems to not be working indeed. So I now tested the phone with incoming call like this:
I covered with my palm...

Re: N900 getting messed up on incoming calls. "Swipe to unlock" not working?

Thank you for reply, I will try to clarify:

Hello everyone,
After half a year of n900 use, I am now extremely frustrated about my phone being messed up on incoming calls while in my pouch (on the belt) or in the pocket.
When there is an...

Re: Bright spot or spots on display / LCD

Wow, these are exactly the same spots I have, in EXACTLY the same positions.
My best guess is that they come from some "parts" located in that particular area in the phone body. Could be the heating...
