Thumbs up Re: Resetting lock code

For those of you who have issues enumerating the lock code because your grep command is broken. You can try this instead (you need either busybox-power installed and/or you have installed GNU package...

Exclamation [WANTED] Token/Karma system staff.

Hi guys,

I haven't been very active on the forums and stuff (I'm more active on IRC). Though one thing has brought to my attention that is lacking. The community council for the current period are...

Re: Save symbian sign petition

My first experience with symbian was tragic enough that I virtually didn't want to deal with it ever again. I started using N95-1 (note the -1 at the end, there's different versions apart from 8GB...

Re: WTS 950 Proto

800 what? USD$? If it's USD$ it would roughly equate to 591.85€. Which would be higher than previous bid at 450€ or USD$608.27 but the seller hinted a slightly higher amount before as the preferred...

Re: Bought a N900 :i

Even more cheeky to offer/provide a flat battery in which one cannot even boot the device up.

Though yeah I guess the OP is reporting the device is working as expected and it also seems like it...

Re: Bought a N900 :i

I'd be leaning on to doing the dispute now. A genuinely new N900 would have 50% battery charge. Yours does not have that. A genuinely new N900 would not have its sticker on the retail packaging box...

Re: Story time! How did you decide to buy the N900/N950/N9

I started with N900 but well before N900 my previous smartphone was N95-1.

The N95-1 has been one hell of a horrid experience. Every packages needed to be signed and there was no easy way to...

Re: Bought a N900 :i

For some reason I really do not know why would the seller be "setting up country specific locale" before sending the device away. Also for the device to arrive at your doorstep battery flat.

In...

Then I guess more the merrier we should probably go towards the dark side I suppose. Its inevitable but I guess we do what we must.

Re: A Proper App For Editing, Saving or Viewing "Word" "Excel" And "Sheet"

Its Also Called Dataviz Not Datavaz. I Do Believe If You Paid For Documents To Go You Would Be Able To Edit Documents Instead Of Just Viewing Them. However, I Am Sure You Rather Prefer Free Software...

Re: NITDROID issue.

N900 is not a "magical phone". If you don't know what you are doing then you shouldn't have bothered installing nitdroid in the first place. Blindly following instructions and not knowing...

Re: Ultimate Hacking device.

I do believe this thread does not belong to this part of the area on the forum. First off, it has nothing to do with nokia and its own ranges of devices let alone it is an accessory that can be...

First off, tracker and its own provided binaries has nothing to do with gpx files. Those gpx files are related to GPS...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Alpha release of Open Media Player

The stock MP that I have (1.3-4+0m5) definitely will pause the video that is playing on the screen. However when switching back to the stock MP, it will continue playing the video.

OMP does still...

If I remember correctly with harmattan it is not possible to downgrade firmwares, there's no way to fix that. Regardless of where the device came from or whichever locale firmware it has installed...

Re: N900 is dead :'(

If N900 shows static (not blinking) amber/orange LED, the device is on emergency charge mode. If you have a decent setup where you know there's not a likely chance the device will go into reboot...

Re: [Pulseaudio] pulseaudio_0.9.15-1maemo44+0m5+0cssu5

Initially I've tried your v5 patch (from sometime back), it did seem to help resolve it when I was testing only the alarm-ui side of things. I didn't get around testing the phone ringing.

It was...

This will show...

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - OS backup & restore | New version - Jul 9th(v1.1)

I completely agree this is a good idea, many of us were not initially aware of the fact that power kernel (let alone nokia kernel) would not get reflashed as a result of using backupmenu to restore...

Re: N900 physical keyboard stuck on Fn keys after water damage

I would try to go back to the alcohol solution and see if you can get Fn keys to be unstuck.

Apart from there there isn't much rescue for your N900 as it may over time face issues with metal...

Re: Where to buy a Nokia N900?

1) Made in Finland N900 are most likely pre-release (or the so-called summit versions). These devices are rare if they're genuine. Also if I'm not mistaken, these devices should have a yellow sticker...
