Re: [Announce] ZapLoc - a Gowalla/Foursquare/Facebook places/Latitude aggregator - "All your location based services are belong to us" ;)

I don't have mr_jrt's problems, but I do have a request.

Re: N900 + Google Latitude

Open a terminal, and enter as command:

dpkg -l microb-geolocation

It should output a line beginning with "ii".
If not, you should be able to install ("download") it via the application...

Re: N900 + Google Latitude

You choose what people you share your location with, generally those who also share with you. It's fun to see where your friends are. You also can let google record your location history and look...

Re: N900 + Google Latitude

Could you give a hint how to install the google stuff? I unpacked the tarball and did "python setup.py install" as root, but it still complains:

~ $ ./latitude-updater.py
Traceback (most recent...

Re: N900 + Google Latitude

Thanks... I do indeed see www.google.com registered in there.

After deleting that file, it still didn't do anything about my location... It took me a while to figure out that at some point I had...

Re: Any one with N900 from Netherlands???

Hier nog een NL'er met een N900.

Ik zou niet meer weten wat ik zonder zou moeten doen. Gebruik 'm o.a. om onderweg server storingen te kunnen verhelpen (al heb ik nog niet ontdekt hoe je een...

Re: N900 + Google Latitude

I tcpdumped the connection, and wireshark tells me:

POST /glm/mmap/mwmfr?hl=en HTTP/1.1

So, something there changed :(
Gluppy doesn't seem to work anymore either.

If you run
/opt/linfati.com/GoogleLatitudeDaemon in a terminal, you get some output:
~ $...

Re: My stable N900 workhorse

Your cell network may be partly responsible for battery drain. Here in the Netherlands I was on the T-Mobile network, and the last couple of months, after 18 hours of use the battery was still about...

Re: N900 + Google Latitude

I noticed that after 2 weeks uptime, it was using quite a large chunk of memory (all operations on the phone took a couple of seconds while it was swapping). Stopping and starting the daemon frred...

Re: Battery Tests and Phone Battery Mod

It's Japod, described as 1350mAh.

I ordered this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.32398 4 months ago, and it works well. I even get the impression that it lasts longer than the original...
