how to access the tracker db for eg fro mp3?
the n900 does have a tracker which indexes most of the files like mp3,images,pdf etc
i want to access the file where it is stored i am guessin as a db

this is just for the idea
lot of stuff is missing in it
the seek bar especially and track name and all
and load button may be compromised by connecting it to the album art (on click)

m not sure abt python apps but my c++ app with Qt worked fyn in reading and writing ( it saves variables in .sav file located in mydocs)
with chmod u+x

thats a wrong way to write exec
if u have to use run-standalone use it before the dir
like
try the following
Exec=run-standalone.sh python2.5 /home/user/MyDocs/test/test.py
Exec=/usr/bin/xterm...

oki if u wanna run the executable by using commands in the xterminal
then u have to do the following
1. cd to the directory
2. chmod u+x <executable name>
3. run-standalone.sh <executable name>
...
