Re: Who's still around and interested in N800/N810?

Have an N800, use it every day as ebook reader, MP3 player and for netsurfing when out of the house. Just a user, not programmer, but willing to pitch in the occasional nickel to support further...

Re: Which is the most 'important' NIT Nokia has made so far?

Re: Maemo musician's thread...

Hee, I'm a chorister also. Look for Commonthreadchorus on YouTube.

I also play ocarina, and mountain dulcimer, but I have no sound samples for you guys. Yet. :p

Re: Timeline won't update in Mauku

Weirdness. I have extras enabled ... and mauku does install. But install manager reports failure, and I believed it! It's on, though.

Re: External USB keyboard and the mysterious umlauts

Not knowing which keyboard you are using, I can only venture that perhaps one fo the keys is stuck down. I have had stuff like that happen with a PC keyboard when one of the function keys or the alt...

Re: Few questions before buying a new N8100

Mauku works for Twitter updates; there is no working Livejournal client that I know of, I just post from my LJ account when out of the house. FaceBook as well. (If you are a labour militant as I am,...

Unhappy Re: Usenet client?

Text newsgroups would be great ... as is, I have to use webnews to get my science-fiction newsgroups on news.sff.net, and I'm not all that happy.

That would be up to the developer; I'm just reporting an update I like. General, do you think there will be any diff in the extras version?

Re: My Nokia n810: Once year later

Heh. Brontide reminds me of my two years with Zauruses. It is frustrating watching a device with so much potential go nowhere. But I'm still having fun with my N800, and by the time it's worn out...

Re: n800/810

I'm quite happy with the N800, pricewise it was a big saving over the 810; I got a plugin dreamGEAR mini Key keyboard that plugs in with a mini USB adapter, and a Holux GPS unit that I can turn off...

Re: Bluetooth gps? will this work?

Holux 1000 works fine, I got mine from Canada GPS two weeks ago. Lovely little tool, ideal for tracing out my bicycle travels in Toronto on MaemoMapper's maps.

Re: FBReader Editor Needed Freeware Please

I can personally vouch for the BookDesigner software mentioned on that site, it's lovely. fb2 files are usually a bit more compact than .prc and .pdb files, and much compacted from .html ...:)
