Found the problem.
i had to find out why it did this so i started again but decided to leave out the -R when flashing which ment that it did not reboot and i could go straight onto the emmc and...

thats what thought to do, have now done that and everything is fine and the emmc has been restored to factory.
just wondering why i had to flash firmware then emmc the firmware again?

N900 wont sync music to ovi suite?
