Re: SailfishOS on Sony Z3 Compact Tablet

It's already using a way older version, like from 2.1.4, which im reasonably sure is the culprit.

At least it doesnt make too much sense to debug things without updating the media stack to the...

Re: SailfishOS on Sony Z3 Compact Tablet

No need to reflash, an ota update from a previous version is fine or refresh the repos and install gst-droid if you've already upgraded to 3.4

I changed the scorpion media stack to be the same as the windys, no idea why it was different. I should really get around to updating droidmedia and gst-droid on these devices as its pretty ancient...

Re: SailfishOS on Sony Z3 Compact Tablet

Since sony no longer supports these devices for AOSP, it could be tricky but the first step would be to try and build an AOSP6 image for that device.

If you can build that successfully and...

Re: 3.3.0.x Rokua

Newer GCC (gcc8) is a pretty good special feature, something a lot of people have been calling out for for years now

Re: SailfishOS on Sony Z3 Compact Tablet

LVM based would require me to rework the port into a more productised state using a built system partition like the Xperia X .etc. Its possible but not something i'm really planning on doing.

I'm...

Re: Matrix - clients

I expect there would be a ton of breaking changes if you were to try and update the library in harbour-matrix. It also looks like they now require a much newer GCC than we currently have in SFOS as...

Re: SailfishOS on Sony Z3 Compact Tablet

What are you upgrading from? if its a particularly old build then you may have troubles and I'd suggest flashing a new one.

Sometimes i get lazy updating the 4g version, since I don't own that...

Re: SailfishOS on Sony Z3 Compact Tablet

In future you should really wait until the adaptation repos have been updated with the latest target, which normally happens maybe a week after an update goes to EA

Re: SailfishOS on Sony Z3 Compact Tablet

Because it's a ported device we don't maintain previous releases as such, so its most likely got the latest middleware with old jolla packages and not real happy about that.

I suggest you grab a...

Re: SailfishOS on Sony Z3 Compact Tablet

The repo has been updated, but I won't have a chance to test for a couple of weeks maybe, so proceed at your own risk

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone

I don't think it has anything to do with the word Danke.

It most likely comes from stoner culture, 'dank weed' being common slang for years, and has been appropriated by meme culture.

That...

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone

Of course it can, no-deal brexit changes *everything* about trade and I expect you'll have more pressing concerns like "why is the supermarket empty" and not "when do i get my shiny toy"

They do have delusions of being the FOSS Apple, but who knows maybe there's a market for a fairly derivative GNOME phone OS. If they ever get it working well enough.

I know the Postmarket OS guys...

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone

Re: Are you Ready? F(x)tec Pro 1 HW Keyboard Phone
