I can't get the usb icon to appear in the upper right corner anymore after step 3. It just shows the dimmed Nokia logo at first and then switches to the brighter white screen with Nokia logo but...

Now my connection problems are gone but the application is still really unreliable. Usually it updates my location every second even if I'm not moving and sometimes it goes crazy and updates it twice...

I've got this same problem, my catalogs are invisible. Do I have to reflash if I haven't installed rootsh yet? I downloaded the rootsh.install package to my phone but that doesn't help :)

Humm, I recommended this too early :(
I get "Your current location is unavailable" no matter which locating system I use so it doesn't seem to work yet on my N900 or am I missing something here?

Thanks! The updater is actually quite nice. I also missed that 'Map'-menu :) so I uninstalled it but when I read this post I had to try it again.

My N900 gives me an error when installing topomaps. Even if I have a 2GB memory card installed it says:

Internal memory card is not installed
Install memory card and install this package again
...
