Re: Sailfish on Turing Phones?

Trouble around Turing... Their property in Salo is being confiscated by request of PHE-Consulting Oy (their Finnish partner).

Re: [Announce] Mapsi - a map application for everyone

Seems like the newest Sailfish SDK (https://lists.sailfishos.org/pipermail/devel/2014-April/003928.html) has debugging support...

Re: Case for Jolla

The Insmat case (http://www.insmat.fi/fi/tuotteet//tuote/650-2088_exclusive-flip-case-for-jolla-phone-black) can be found in DNA stores in Finland. Or at least I just walked into Joensuu DNA today...

Re: Jolla hardware internals

Qualcomm seems to be ridiculously tight lipped about any technical specs of their devices, so only thing you can find on qualcomm sites are marketing stuff....

Re: How to install all video and audio codec

Shouldn't XviD play back just fine with standards compliant h.263 decoder? So no need for specific XviD decoder, just need to send XviD streams to the h.263 decoder. And Jolla should already have a...

Re: Video Bitrate "hack"

Oh, I hadn't realized that Jolla uses "old" MPEG4 h.263, instead of AVC/h.264. That would cause the need for higher bitrate. But there seems to be config file for h.264 aswell...

Re: Using external SD-card for storage of Android offline navigation

When trying to access media files that were on my SD-card, I noticed that Android programs didn't seem to understand symbolic links. Or atleast the file browser on the programs didn't show the...

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread

Well there doesn't seem to be ac3 decoder on Jolla, so ac3 audio is out. MKV (matroska) files play, but aren't seekable.
So I guess the best modern file format would be mp4, video h.264, audio aac....

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread

@hemiwi
Well you should only need to make the symbolic links once, after that you need to do "only" the mounting and tracker restart each time. I'm not proficient enough to do automatic script to do...

Re: Jolla User Experience Thread

My 64Gb card is formatted ext4, and I need to mount it manually every time I reboot (root, "mount /dev/mmcblk1p1 /run/user/100000/media/sdcard").
But that alone isn't enough to see the files in...

Re: SailfishOS bugs and glitches

Same happened with my Nokia Essence (BH-610), so the first time I was bit wtf. Apparently Jolla just sends some message to the headset that call is coming in and the headset plays it's own internal...

Re: Have just cancelled my Jolla - have others done the same?

I think the AA is just lower clocked AB. All AB's I've seen are at 1,7Ghz, and AA's are at 1,4Ghz. They haven't just bothered to make separate entry in their documentation for the same model at lower...

I guess there's even people on weekend doing packaging, just got my mail with tracking code. Of course it's only pre-reported for sending, and probably leaves on Monday.

Re: #JollaLoveDay - 20th May - device announcement

Re: #JollaLoveDay - 20th May - device announcement

Re: #JollaLoveDay - 20th May - device announcement

I hope they are just playing it safe, after all it's going to be December...
That said, I really really hope they start sending the packages on 27th, so I might have hope of getting my Jolla next...
