Java for mobiles sucks. I want a full Java SE as it is a depoloper's dream.
I love JAVA - yes, it's a little bit slow but developing application is like riding a porsche - very fast.

I'm just writing something similiar you are describing in Java. The bad side is that Nokia's Java support is very stupid so I'm still waiting for better Java support.

Java is only a dream. It still does not work (neither for web nor for applications). Maybe in a future. Jalimo team is working on it (I hope so).
Old Jdk1.3 works (jamvm).... but it's too old stuff.

Do not include File system cache - it is why you want to switch to 2.0 version is not it ?...

yapp ... but the most importante feature in here is a fully working USB HOST MODE!! and it is what i'm expecting the most from any near future new firmware.
